City of Noblesville Indiana Community Information Noblesville is in a fast changing rural to urban environment, rich in heritage. It was designated the county seat in 1824 and incorporated in 1851. In 1823, trader and statesman William Conner laid out the town and established his roots here. Today, Conners home is part of the historic Conner Prairie Settlement; a nationally recognized living historic museum located just four miles south of town. While Hamilton County has historically been an agricultural community, Noblesville and the entire county have witnessed tremendous growth in recent decades. We have grown more than 130 percent since 1970. Hamilton County is currently the fastest growing county in the state and is expected to retain this distinction through the year 2000.
